This is a low quality pen and nib set. The 1.5mm nib is very rough and digs, scratches, and jerks on paper and parchment. Thus, it leaves inconsistent, broken lines and uneven ink flow. The nib tip builds up paper fibers very quickly from abrading the paper.I am not inexperienced. I have filled three full journals with italic calligraphy and written many letters on various papers. This did poorly with the best paper.
