The way to solve this issue is to use white vinegar.Fill a bath tub with water, add three cups of distilled white vinegar to it, turn your new pair of jeans inside out and submerge them into the water. Let them sit for a few hours (overnight is ideal), then remove the jeans and run them through the washer (Cold Wash only) with another cup of vinegar directly on the jeans. Once done, air dry them.I don't know the science behind it, but the white vinegar will lock in the dye and keep it from rubbing off on your shoes, undergarments, light colored chairs, etc.
